The Way Out is Through

[Clint Cross]

"Cameras." Clint gestured. "Don't worry Lanara... I'll get you out of that bodysuit soon enough." he raised an eyebrow. "Sixteen... man... what is it about that age. That was about how old I was when I first shot someone."

[Liara]

She gave him a look that said she knew and sighed softly.

"I ran my first mission at sixteen." Selene informed him as she sat her pad down on the table. "I failed."

[Clint Cross]

"But you learned." Clint replied and put his hand on her's. "And you survived. Still too young. Like you're old enough to hold a weapon, to fight, but to snuff someone out... "

[Liara]

"Yes well... are you done yet?" Selene inquired pulling her hand away and smiling at him. "I am."

She handed him the pad containing her report. It consisted of bullet points for each of the key events that occurred on the mission.

"I don't like writing reports." Selene told him matter of fact.

[Clint Cross]

"Yeah they suck but they do come in handy later. Otherwise you'd hate testifying." Clint put the padd on a holder on his desk and finished up with his own. "Alright... i'm done. Now Agent Lanara... let's get the hell out of here."

[Liara]

“Of course Director Cross.” Selene replied grinning as she stood. “So how long does it take to get to your place?”

[A'mira Stormborn]

"The former Empress was thirteen when she made her first kill. I was a crone of eighteen. I missed the whole civil war, but I didn't miss out on the Imperium War."

She glanced at Selene, "How was the mission Rookie?" Clearing her throat she handed Clint a PADD. "It doesn't require your immediate attention. I know you're on your way our the door." She gave them both a knowing look, "But you wanted a report on the state of the Empire. To summarize Emperor Stormrage will fully support the Alliance."

[Clint Cross]

"Not long, I Just beam there from here. I don't like people following me home." Clint replied and took her hand. "Besides, there's a car you can take at my place to come back." he looked at A'mira. "Shit don't do that... " he chuckled. "Thanks... well that's a change. Thought Stormrage was all... ragey."

[A'mira Stormborn]

She smirked, "He's a greedy bastard... Did I use that term correctly?" She waved a dismissive hand, "Anyway he's not a fool, he just didn't like how cozy the Administration was with Starbreeze. Anyway have fun. All acts of love honor Narla, and is a blessing."

[Clint Cross]

"Right..." Clint nodded his. "Well, they were cozy with Starbreeze because she was one of us. Worked Ops on Byron. She was a friend." he shook his head "At least Stormrage finally got his head screwed on right about all this. Wouldn't be the first head of state that was sanctioned by an ally for being a dick."
