“I don’t think I could do it.” Selene said pulling Noonian’s coat tighter. “I’m afraid of him.”

"I can understand that." Noonian said as he sat next to her and put his arm across her shoulders to keep her warmer. "I... was not very kind to my version of you. Pushed her away, blamed her for your mother's death. Lucius, my version of him, thought you had talent as a fighter, as a spy, as an assassin, I let him train my version of you into a living weapon. He wiped her mind after missions, manipulated her, she didn't even remember that her name was Abigail until... well less than five years ago. I came to my senses, realized the error of my ways, that she was all I had to remember her mother. That she was my daughter. And I was a horrible father." he sighed heavily. "We forgave each other and tried to rebuild. My life was empty, cold, and violent. I wasn't creating. I wasn't expanding or evolving. I was de-evolving. That Khan... he's so far de-evolved... so driven by malice."

[Liara]

“You know the Mongolian prison box?” Selene inquired shivering at the thought of it.

[Khan Noonian Singh]

"I do. I used it on Jackson once when his dick got him and a mission de-railed. Found him having sex with K'n'zy instead of what he was supposed to do. Put him in it for four days. But K'n'zy kept him in there for another three days before he broke his hand breaking out." Noonian chuckled slightly. "Never quite liked that, but I couldn't take it. Every bloody time I comm'd him, I'd be hearing her moaning. Course then 6 months later they had Carly."

[Liara]

“He use to put me in it whenever I did something he disapproved of.” Selene said trembling. “He left me in there for over a month once.”

[Khan Noonian Singh]

"If he won't apologize for that, I will. I am sorry you had to endure that." Noonian said as he looked at her. "Perhaps as he's dying we'll put him in a similar one."

[Liara]

“I don’t want to go back Noonian.” Selene said as she grabbed his hand. “But I don’t want anyone else to get hurt because of me. He’ll kill everyone just to punish me. I shouldn’t have gotten attached. I should have had the courage to look him in the eye and kill him.”

"Selene." Noonian said as he held her hands and looked her in the eyes. "Despotic asshole that he is, he's still your father and there's no shame in having a hard time committing patricide. Killing one's own alternate on the other hand... that's easier. Always some element of yourself you detest and it's like killing that bad part of yourself. Would not be the first me I've had to kill." he said and glanced at the door. "For the moment, he thinks he won."

“She was lucky to have you...your daughter.” Selene said as she looked away. “Clint will figure out something happened. I should have been to his place by now or at least close.”

"Yeah... although I'm more worried about that Khan hurting anyone trying to help, or what damage he's trying to cause." Noonian said and opened up the pinch phaser. "I always sort of liked these, small, compact, plenty of power, although..." he hummed. "If I wasn't worried about shrapnel from this cheap metal... I'd use it to blow that door."
