Becky raised an eyebrow, "Not a lot of room in a shuttle. Besides, the nuclear option is simply to tell the computer to delete the program, and nothing can escape it. It also allows me to keep everything virtual. It gives me far more flexibility that using a replicator."

[Angel Ryder]

"Well, I was thinking more for the actual transfer to the positronic matrix." Angel said as she looked at some of the monitors. "You could probably control it all from here, but we load the shuttle with only what you need, if its too much and blows up, it blows up in space. If it works... then you can always bring it back in. Virtual will only get you so far. My quantum positronic phaser cannon should have worked, the virtual tests and such were fine, built in the real world, it blew up on test firing. Way too little power flow for the emitter which was expecting way more and it pulled too much power from the cells instead."

"You have a point," Becky said with a shrug. "At some point this conglomeration of technology that has Borg tech tying it all together would have to eventually be taken out of the lab. I think I can anticipate..."

"She can anticipate how it will function, but Borg technology has a tendency to do what we have designed it to do. It doesn't bend easily to another master," the Queen interrupted.

"Yeah," Becky said. "In here it's harmless photonic and simulated algorithms, but to do it for real will require the real thing."

[Angel Ryder]

"Which is why a controlled environment is key. Last thing we need is some hybrid Borg/android killing everyone and everything. They made literally hundreds of movies about that. So y'know... don't make me have you watch the Terminator movies with me again." Angel teased and whispered. "I also would make sure there isn't a 'Queen' around... "

[Becky Sandoval]

"Her?" Becky said with a grin, "She's harmless. If it comes down to it I'm more of a threat to the crew."

[Angel Ryder]

"Well... as long as she stays a program." Angel said with a slight scowl. "That's how I lost my knees, some Borg Queen to be shot my in my knee caps. They still ache."

[Becky Sandoval]

Becky shrugged, "Computer remove Borg Queen, and delete from program." The computer beeped and the Queen vanished. "She's outlived her usefulness anyway." Becky entered commands into a terminal and after a few moments the computer bleeped.

"Simulation complete: neural pathways are stable."

Becky grinned, "Now all that's left is to create the physical positronic brain, and see if it is still stable in practice. I'd still like to see if we can upload conscience. These modifications says we should be able to. But.... there's a serious moral issue in creating a life like that. I guess we could try it one someone who is dying."

"It just copies doesn't like completely transfer right?" Angel hummed as she watched her work. "Could always use me. Anything happens to me, it would... be nice to know that something of me lives on even if it's a digital consciousness. My daughter and the twins still need their mother."

"We can use it to copy, but the intention is to actually transfer. The M.I.K.I and B.E.K.I programs are a far more advanced A.I. but, they are limited to well... them." She shrugged, "This was an experiment to see if we could do it, and not about should doing it. I'll have to think about proceeding, but if this works it would be almost human."

"It would certainly be a quantum leap forward in preserving a life, especially if massive reconstruction is needed. Say for a former Borg that needs a pretty complete physical reclamation done. Ensure the essence of their person is preserved." Angel said and crossed her arms. "On the dark side of this, well... we'd be creating a new form of life. Not an AI, not an android." she tapped her chin. "Ethically there are concerns, scientifically... I think it's worth investigating." she put her hand on Becca's back. "This IS why we're out here, being like... Starfleet officers again. Discovering new things, expanding the concepts of what can be done. Our careers can't be just about fighting battles, otherwise... I may as well go back to designing bubble dresses and next year's uniforms to feel like I'm creating something." she put her hand on her belly. "Besides new lives of course... Nathan is going to freak the fuck out when he finds out it's a boy and a girl."
