"Great plan." Nick said as he nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah I'm fine with this, really. Besides, Jack was going on and on about spending more time here. And you're right, if we flare up or have to defend ourselves, our heat signatures won't give us away. And we really need to get Gale better trained in a place that won't require me to bribe people not to shut down Leo's because sonny boy lit the staircase on fire..."

“I said I was sorry.” Gale said as he hugged Froggie.

“We know my sweet boy.” Alice said smiling at him. “Accidents happen. Oh Nicholas there will be tech there it’ll just be old and probably all in Xenexian.”

"Exactly, I'm not mad. Maybe a little upset at the hassle, but... we do need to teach you to use your abilities better. Just like you learned how to walk and talk and ride a trike." Nick said with a smile. "Besides I've been promising that the three of us would spend much more time together for how long?"

[Alice Ryder]

“Since before he was born.” Alice said as she squeezed Nick’s hand. “I told you I was collecting.”

"Then it's long past the time." Nick said and kissed her cheek. "So, what kind of cover story do we have in place for our sudden disappearance? Or do I give the story about how my wife kidnapped me and our son for some long deserved family alone time and went through great measures to ensure it happened."

“Well there is a car in our living room. I’m sure Decker will put two and two together. The same when Clint realizes his shuttle is gone.” Alice said with a shrug. “Selene told me not to worry about it. I’m assuming she either set something up or clued Clint in.”

[Nick Ryder]

"They have other shuttles." Nick nodded his head in agreement. "There's a whole shuttlebay under where we parked. Still, we'll make it up to him next time we see them." he glanced out the window. "I trust that we're keeping our presence hidden from Zeke and Keira right?"

“We are sadly. I would have liked to see the newest addition to the Ryder clan.” Alice replied.

[Nick Ryder]

"Yeah, me too." Nick agreed and held her hand. "So, this cave we're setting up shop in, how long did you plan on us staying there? We've got growing boy over there. He could eat us out of house and home."

“Don’t worry we can make it for quite some time.” Alice said with a smile. “Hopefully Dominus is gone sooner than later though. I do rather enjoy green things.”
