Another Crashed Car

[Nick Ryder]

"End transmission, encrypt and send to the Cross House." Nick said after saluting the camera and wrapping his arms around Alice. "Well love... let's get somewhere safe." he kissed her forehead and went to the helm and set in the coordinates and the slingshot program. "Fifteen minutes until we get the velocity we need and reach the nearest sun that we can shoot around."

[Alice Ryder]

"Does this mean we aren't going to see desert mice?" Gale asked from his seat.

"I'm afraid not. Daddy is taking us somewhere else." Alice told him as she kissed his forehead. "Make sure you hold on tight. Things may get a tad bumpy."

[Nick Ryder]

"You'll see where your mommy and daddy grew up." Nick said with a smile. He glanced at the sensors and looked at Alice. "Once we make the jump, we'll transwarp to Earth, hide the shuttle and gear up at Outpost GN2 near the shores of Essex in the North Sea, it's underwater. S31 set it up in the 22nd Century after the Xindi attack, but then they sort of kept it as a back up base and abandoned it because the Directors at the time, were more interested in setting up bases in space, than underwater. We can hide the shuttle there and pick up something more period that we can use."

[Alice Ryder]

“Oh that would be lovely. Maybe a nice estate far away from everyone.” Alice said with a bit a smile. “Maybe Gale will finally say boot instead of trunk.”

[Nick Ryder]

"I tried, but then he started it saying 'booty' a lot and RJ couldn't keep a straight face around him." Nick chuckled. "There's a lot of old estates we can look into, records are easy enough to fake so no one questions us too much. I can probably find us teaching positions, they always needed good teachers at some of the smaller schools."

[Alice Ryder]

“I think I’d like to have you all to myself for a bit.” Alice replied as she took his had. “And a real cup of english tea.”

[Nick Ryder]

"Oh entirely, we're going to vacation for a while... and yes real English tea... " Nick said with a smile. "That's a must. But we'll scout out a nice estate, something with some land around us. Maybe a little workshop so we can indulge our scientific proclivities. Nothing as ground shaking as AliceCore obviously, course we can always construct one for the estate so we don't have to worry about tapping into the grid."

“I could think of other things I’d like to tap into.” Alice replied as she leaned over and kissed him. “But let’s get there and settled in first shall we.”

"Hold on... we're history." Nick said as he punched the engines to the right speed and made a loop around the sun enough times to get to the proper era. The shuttle shook and buckled, but it held as they left the 25th Century behind. Nick slowed the shuttle down to Warp 1 as they set a course for Earth. "Well, near as I can tell, we're early 23rd Century." he sighed in relief. "Just need to get closer to know exactly 'when', but we're in an era with a young Federation, no Imperium, no Dominus. Only downside, Romulans and Klingons aren't friendly."

"Yes but they never attacked Earth." Alice reminded him. "So we stay clear of them."
