“Agreed but Kaitlyn seemed to like the idea.” Selene said. “I’m not comfortable with a telepath around but that’s the life I came from. Jackson...but she’s more like Tali then him. Plus Kaitlyn seems to be a good judge of character.”

[Clint Cross]

"Cece loved Selene like a second mother and a best friend. Hell, she married us. Well, performed the ceremony. She'd do anything for Kaitlyn and James and us for that matter. I wouldn't have asked her to do this, but she's always been one to be her own Captain as it were." Clint said as he sat down on the sofa and looked at the stars. "I would be lying if I said I wasn't crazy about the idea, she's always had a bit of her own agenda, but it's always been to keep others safe. Course, if Selene ever needed her, she was right there. Both Carly's. At least it takes some of the worry away, if we do end up getting involved in fighting Dominus. Whatever happened was enough for Alice and Nick to take off to parts unknown, that's telling me that something's coming."

[Liara]

“I have a feeling whatever it was Alice had planned it with Selene.” Selene said as she joined him on the couch. “Our styles our similar and I don’t think they would have taken your shuttle without letting you know first.”

[Clint Cross]

"Well unless they wanted to keep their movement completely off the grid and off the books, my shuttle has a phase cloak and plenty that would allow me to disappear if I had to. Course that isn't my ONLY shuttle. There's like three others parked underground, but that one was already set up how I liked things. As a parent, I get it. That kind of protocol feels like an 'end of your rope' kinda deal where you leave and don't come back for a very very long time." he looked at the stars. "Who knows where they could be, they're both geniuses. Especially Alice. Nick's smart, but he's a bit more of an action guy, he'd go somewhere where he could still kick some ass covertly. Alice... Alice would make sure they're somewhere that is entirely off anyone's radar and lay low. That and Nick DID promise her extended time away from Terra Alpha and all the other stuff for ages."

[Liara]

“Maybe it’s better if we don’t think to hard on it then.” Selene said as she laid down, resting her head in his lap so she could look up at the sky. “So...Liara.”

[Clint Cross]

"I kinda like it. It's pretty. And it could be a name all your own. Over the past five years, I've gotten used to people with the same name and face, a lot of us have, but it wouldn't be bad for you to have a different nickname at least that we could call you." Clint replied. "Abigail never quite did it for me, maybe because there was a girl at school that we used to call 'Gabby Abby' because she couldn't keep her mouth shut about anything, any secret, any thing told to her, course if you wanted something spread quickly, tell Gabby Abby."

“Liara Abigail Singh.” Selene said thoughtfully. “Say Liara like you say Selene when we’re in bed.”

[Clint Cross]

"Liara..." Clint said and hummed. "Liara... Liara Liara... yeah I can get used to saying that. Cool thing is, it's a name that's completely unused by anyone around us." he stroked her hair and nodded his head. "Entirely your call though. The last thing I want to do is be yet another controlling man in your life. Well, other than the office."

“I like it and I like the way you say.” Selene said. “I think we should go with the twin sister cover. Noonian is always telling everyone I’m his daughter anyway. It’ll be easier and less confusing with a different name.”

[Clint Cross]

"And give you an identity that's your own, you look and sound like her, but you're your own woman." Clint replied. "Besides, twins makes logical sense, you were just... away until you heard about Selene. At least to those outside the family. And you inherited her code name and fell for her widower."
