"And we know members of our own family are sensitive to it, maybe with training and exposure to more Iljuna users, they could be better trained. I've been training Kinsey when I can but I'm going on the snippets of training J'Larin gave me over the years and what I picked up on naturally."

"There's a reason the Jase'dasis masters don't usually train adults. Jalarin basically broke the rules working with the two of us, and they nearly sent me back to Talaria when I came knocking."

"Well the Order has given us a pass because we get results, we're fast learners, we're also the people we are." Nick replied. "Considering the man that I ran against was an Ajem'Dasis master, which none of us really knew until it was pretty much too late..." he shook his head. "Glad Bella and Donovan took care of him for us... although there's always another. And my money's on his doting wife."

She shook her head, "And yet she keeps her nose clean. Runs New Georgia fairly, and by all appearances a model citizen. Something clouds the ijulna. I can't sense the source, so your guess is as good as mine."

"I don't think Underwood could have been an Ajem without his wife knowing or being the Master herself. Of course, Porter is pretty much in her camp. As much as she used to be in mine. Personally... I think they're a couple. Same way I knew Olivia was bi. She loved her husband but she loved Marcus' wife Kirby. Now she I knew swung both ways. Course, when your high school sweetheart knocks you up at 17 and then goes off on his own with barely a 'I'll call you'." he sighed heavily. "I smacked that kid so hard they heard it on Mars. But it was his life and her life and their son's. I took care of him, gave her whatever she needed or wanted. Same thing I did for AImee behind your back."

"She knew, and she thought I put you up to it. So rather you being the hero, she used it to hate me more." She smirked, "That kid is as stubborn as her father. The worst part, everything she said about me was true. I was the selfish one. I could have raised her, and made captain... eventually. And, well I didn't want that reminder of how I lost her father. And, now I'm doing the same thing, just in a different way with Ethan. Would it have really mattered if I messed up the timeline? I wouldn't be a full Jase'dasis I had though."

"Yeah you Sandoval women are stubborn as hell." Nick said with a shake of his head. "And I told the Sanders to tell her when she found out that you had nothing to do with it, I just give a shit about my best friend's kid. Honestly, before the Terra Alpha project I had no real use for the profits from AlphaTek, my kids were more than taken care of, my family had enough... I always work my way outward when giving." he hummed. "But you know, there is a theory of predestination, perhaps you were always meant to come back or... there is no plan and realities are so messed up that anything is possible at this point."

She shrugged, and forked a peice of chicken from the pile of moo goo gai pan, "Or perhaps I'm supposed come back to die in a blaze of glory."

"Like your last death wasn't a blaze of glory?" Nick raised an eyebrow. "You're making this one last a little while alright? You got a daughter in law now and your other daughter is pregnant. If I have to be a great-grandpa you can be a grandmother. Besides, someone has to help get the Jase reputation restored."

"I don't think anyone has any idea what is going to happen. At this point God's probably throwing in the towel shouting at Michael and St. Peter, 'I don't know what's going on anymore!'"
